This role is available to Guyanese applicants only.

The Visa and Immigration Officer will assist in providing support to the Visa and Immigration Section to ensure that all required permits such as permission to land, visa, work permits, etc. are prepared and issued correctly. Also involves the preparation and submission of documents, and follow-ups to ensure that all permits are in place for the timely execution of operations. Multi-agency stakeholder engagement is a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • Diploma in a related field (International Relations, Communications)

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Visa & Immigration capacity, demonstrating sound knowledge of all relevant processes and protocols

  • Must be familiar with the functions and key departments of GRA, NIS, and passport Offices.

  • Good understanding of the preparation of various forms for the Visa and immigration process.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Reviving the information required for the various applications for Visa processes.

  • Assist with printing, preparing, and filing applications to the relevant Ministry for PTL, EVOA and Work Permits.

  • Preparation of NIS & GRA registration and compliances

  • Downloading and uploading files into respective folders

  • Filing away complete documents in respective company folders (hard copy)

  • Preparation of endorsement packages

  • Photocopying and scanning of documents.

  • Checking off approval letters from the relevant Ministry, scanning and uploading them into respective folders.

  • Following up with the relevant Ministry on the process status

  • Keep track of client's - personnel date of arrival and departure 

  • Be aware of any new updates or changes from the relevant Ministry, GRA, NIS, Passport Office, and any other agencies.

  • Provide feedback/updates/suggestions to management for department improvements

  • Regular visits to the Ministry, NIS, GRA, and Passport offices.

  • Vetting of application packages thoroughly and then providing feedback to the client

  • And any other related duties.
