Clerks of Works

We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Clerks of Works to oversee construction activities and ensure that all work is carried out to the required standards, specifications, and schedules. The ideal candidate will serve as the eyes and ears on-site for the client or project manager, ensuring quality, compliance, and accountability in every stage of construction.

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field would be an asset.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a construction supervision or Clerk of Works role.

• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Familiarity with local building regulations and HSSE standards in Guyana.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite and digital reporting tools.

• Monitor day-to-day construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure they meet required standards and are used in accordance with approved plans.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records including progress reports, site diaries, and photographs.

• Report defects, safety concerns, or delays to the project manager or engineer promptly.

• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and consultants to resolve on-site issues.

• Ensure work is executed in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations.

• Assist in verifying contractor claims and work completed for payment purposes.

• Attend site meetings and provide input on progress, quality, and any deviations.
