The Product Specialist is responsible for providing technical expertise in welding, cutting, and protective coating equipment to end-user accounts. This role will act as a Technical Consultant to the sales team, supporting account planning processes and driving business growth through the presentation of solutions that deliver customer value.
Business school degree, Technical Sales, or equivalent experience and/or degree to perform all duties mentioned above.
Minimum of 2 years' prior experience in industrial product sales; welding sales with hands-on welding ability a plus.
Background in filler metals and metallurgy (preferred, but not necessary).
Strong ability to communicate the value offering to all levels of end user management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Strong communication, presentation, time management, and interpersonal skills.
AWS Certified Welding Inspector qualification (preferred, but not necessary).
Ability to travel overnight if needed.
Ability to travel to the United States (valid Visa and Passport).
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
Serve as the expert in welding, cutting, and surface prep process enhancements for customers.
Apply process, product, and technical expertise to convert filler metal, equipment, and other sales opportunities.
Conduct product demonstrations as necessary to drive product conversions.
Maintain consistent verbal and written communications and key activities.
Provide ongoing training and technical support for strategic end-users and distributor partners.
Effectively manage the assigned territory of Guyana and Suriname.
